ISIL KARAOGLU
Founder Architect
As an academic path, after an Erasmus exchange at the ENSA Paris-Malaquais, she acquired an Itinerant Master’s degree from Accademia Adrianea in Rome. This program enabled her to take part in numerous conferences and workshops across Europe. At the end of this master, she was awarded First Prize of Piranesi Prix de Rome XIII.
Motivated to deepen her educational journey further, she obtained a second master’s degree in architecture at Politecnico di Milano with the mention: ‘one of the most talented students’ accompanied by a Merit Based Gold Scholarship. During her studies, she attended courses led by internationally renowned architects such as Kazuyo Sejima - SANAA, and took part in an internship-workshop in collaboration with David Chipperfield Architects in Berlin.
Alongside her academic pursuits, she worked with several architecture studios in Italy on locally focused projects. Among these was a collaboration with Peter Eisenman Architects for the Pinerba Housing Complex in Milan.
After completing her second Master’s degree, she joined Studio Fabio Novembre in Milan, contributing as part of a team to a range of international projects spanning from Miami, USA, to Suwon, S. Korea. Subsequently, she started collaborating in Paris with Jean Nouvel Design on several prestigious projects. At the same time, she worked on additional interior design projects in Paris for distinguished clients, including Hermès.
Most recently, she has been collaborating as an architect on fashion shows in Paris for brands featured on the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week, including Yuima Nakazato, Rami Al Ali, and Paloma Wool. Her work in this field extends beyond runway design to the development of showroom spaces in Paris, for Khaite, where she continues to explore the dialogue between architecture, scenography, and fashion.
